FAQs

WE KNOW YOU HAVE QUESTIONS

So let us give you some answers.

When do I RSVP by?
September 15th! You can RSVP online by clicking here 🙂

Halp, what do I wear?
FUN FACT: The bride’s momma is superstitious and thinks wearing red to a wedding is bad luck. While we don’t care (okay maybe a little but I highly doubt any of you will show up in neon, fishnets, shorts/sweats or camo), cocktail attire is perfectly fine! Please note that the ceremony is outdoors (on brick not grass) so bring a lil sweater if you think you’ll be a lil chilly. If you’re like us and have no clue what cocktail attire means, here’s an article. Now you’re a wedding guest pro. You’re welcome.

How do I get to the ceremony?
OKAY this one is a complicated one. You can park by Wilder Mansion but the ceremony will be held under the pretty white tent near the Wilder Park Conservatory (slightly south-west from the mansion, not a long walk) which is on Church Street. ‘Tis a little hidden so please arrive early to avoid interrupting the ceremony 🙂

What time is the ceremony?
2:30PM SHARP!

Can we take pictures?
Can you live in the moment? Haha, just kiddinggggggg; as long as you use your best judgement during the ceremony, sure! Just tag us 😉 and use #samandjahairawed when you post because it’d be neat to be able to look at them all the next day!

What if it rains?
While the ceremony will be taken place under a tent, we have a backup- next door at the Wilder Mansion. Look at us. So prepared.

How do I get to the reception?
Our reception will be in the banquet hall inside the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel! It is located on the corner of Irving Park Road and Mannheim Road (enter through Irving Park Road). It’s less complicated to get to the hall if you enter through the hotel side, but you may park/enter by the Mirage Restaurant as well!

Do I have to pay for parking?
Parking is free! Unless you park over night… in that case it’s $12… which is a small price to pay if you took advantage of the open bar and made the wise decision to uber home.

Can I bring a guest?
If your invitation did not specify “and Guest“, we won’t be hosting additional guests that did not receive a formal invitation.

What time does the party end?
11:30PM
Look, we know it’s a Sunday and you probably work on Monday, but maybe just maybe, take that Monday off so you can stick around til the end! We’d really love that.  Otherwise… stick around til the end anyway and show up to work with a big ol’ bottle of Pedialyte. They’re marketing to people with hangovers now, woop woop.

Uhm, hi, I have more questions that weren’t answered…
Chances are we ran out of time to work on this or our brains are a little fried and didn’t think about what else people may have questions about. Shoot us a text. DM us. Check back for updates. Don’t worry. We’ll give you an answer.
